Hello, everybody! How has the first half of your week been? Can't wait 'til Friday? Me too.
Well, my dearies, I am here to tell you the tale of Casual. It is one of the most wonderful things on planet Earth (except Nutella, of course!). It's just so customizable! I think it's one of the better ways to show off one's personality without having to talk to anyone (introvert fears surfacing). You are able to present to the world how cool you are. That is one of the main reasons I love fashion.
Onward to the outfit! Enjoy!

High-waisted jeans: Wet Seal $11
Graphic tee: Macy's $12
Plaid flannel: gifted
Parka: Sam's Club (strangely enough) $19
Tamarac boots: gifted
Casual is my favorite way to dress. I mean, it's always nice to get all gussied up to go to dinner or a party, but to relax is even better!

I get so many compliments on this coat! I find that strange for some reason. I guess it's because I've had it for so long. We expect compliments for new things we have and usually not the older ones.
Forgive me for going really deep here, but I think that goes the same for our appearance. Taylor Swift used this analogy: The newest things we buy are always our favorite until we buy the next new thing. The things we see for the longest period of time are our least favorite. The thing we see most often and for the longest period of time is our reflection in the mirror. So, that is obviously going to be our least favorite thing. Everyone struggles with this.
Everyone has something about themselves that they don't like. But, I wanna let you know, no one else notices.
I am really self-conscious about my pimples and often times I get really sad because I think that it will never get better. But, on the few courageous occasions I went out with no makeup on, no one noticed. No one judged me for my skin. No one treated me differently. I'm learning my skin doesn't define who I am. And you shouldn't let what you don't like about yourself define you either! No one looks like a super model! Even they are heavily photo shopped!
It's normal to have pimples, cellulite, or a gap in your teeth. God made you in His image! He worked hard on you, He created you just the way you are. It's time you start loving yourself, He does!
So, I hope you benefit from the mini self-acceptance speech. I think it's about time someone addressed it!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this laid back and casual blog post! Stay tuned for more posts coming soon!
Sorry I posted this so late in the day! An unfortunate series of events lead to me without a computer unlock-er! In other words my mom wasn't home. Hehehe ;D
